Joseph Linwood Grogan

Joseph Linwood Grogan, 37, of Eden passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, November 22, 2024 at Fair Funeral Home with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Thursday, November 21, 2024.

The family will receive friends at other times at the home of his parents, Charles and Clarita Grogan, 201 Burroughs Dr, Stoneville, NC 27048.

Joseph was born April 1, 1987 in Rockingham County, NC, to Charles Grogan and Clarita Newman Grogan. He was a graduate of McMichael High School, class of 2005, where he enjoyed playing football. He worked in the casting department as a supervisor at Wieland Copper. Joseph was a true mountain man. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved gardening and had a green thumb. He enjoyed woodworking. Joseph loved his kids and was a loving husband and father. His children were his world.

Surviving are his wife, Kathryn “Katie” Carroll Grogan of the home; children, Joseph “J.J.” Grogan, Jr. of Eden, Kali Grogan and Liam Grogan of the home; parents, Charles Grogan and Clarita Grogan; sister, Candice Tatum (Kyle); brother, Caleb Grogan (Crystal) of Sandy Ridge; mother-in-law, Tamara Joyce Carroll of Madison; grandmothers, Mary Lue Grogan and Linnie Newman; niece and nephew, Luke and Ryleigh Grogan; brothers-in-law, Jason Joyce of Madison, Matthew Joyce of Flintstone, GA, and Joey Carroll of Madison.

Joseph is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Carl Carroll; grandfather, George Newman; uncle, Stephen Grogan; aunts, Sherry Grogan and Carol Clarke.
