Johnnie Cecil Martin, 78, passed away October 16, 2015 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 2PM, Monday, October 19, 2015 at Fair Funeral Home, in Eden with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Ridgeway Virginia
Johnnie was born on November 13, 1936 to the late Walter Amos Martin and Mary Coleman Martin in Stokes County, North Carolina. He was retired from Sara Lee Corp. and was a member of the Christian View Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his Sister-in-law Peggy Martin of Ridgeway, Virginia, and brother-in-law Roy Shaffer of Martinsville, Virginia along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, his wife Dorothy, Brothers, Wayne, and Troy; Sisters Margaret Shelton, Ailene Turner, and Christine Shaffer.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 6-8pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at his home.
