John Richard Hall

John "Richard" Hall, 76, of 623 Church Street in Eden, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County in Wentworth.

A graveside service will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, November 20, at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Hall was born January 13, 1938 in Franklin County, Virginia, to the late Howard and Delia Stone Hall. He worked for many years for Henry County Plywood Company in furniture assembly and later owned Hall's Tree Trimming. Richard also worked for Sara Lee.

He is survived by his seven sisters, Josephine Meeks of Eden, Inez Hardy and husband, Jimmy of Eden, Maybelle Bailey of Florida, Dorothy Hardy and husband, Sammy of Danville, Kay Philpott and husband, Junior, of Danville, Lois Delancey of Brosville, and Thelma Hall of Eden, brothers, Willie "John" Russell Hall of Eden, Burton Hall and wife, Vickie of Brosville, and Curtis "Bo" Hall of Pittsylvania County, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hall and sister, Myrtle Christine Hall.

The family will receive friends from 2 till 2:45 pm at Fair Funeral Home before proceding to Woodlawn Cemetery.
