John R. Farris

John Robert Farris, age 72 of 174 Farris Drive, Stoneville passed away on Sunday morning at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday April 18th at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Centenary United Methodist Church.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1 - 2 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Mr. Farris was born August 13, 1945 in Rockingham County to the late Billy Hampton Farris and Allie Virginia Strong Farris. He was a graduate of Stoneville High School Class of 1964.  He retired from Unifi and after retirement worked part-time for Carolina Fuels.  John loved to cook for his family.

Preceding him in death along with parents was a brother, James "Jay" Farris.

Surviving are wife; Cynthia Westmoreland Farris of the home; son John R. Farris, Jr. and daughter, Virginia " Ginger" Lynn Farris and brother, Ronnie Farris all of Stoneville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Hospice of Rockingham County, Po Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375 or Centenary United Methodist Church, 2415 Settle Bridge Road, Stoneville, NC 27048.
