John "Mike" Michael Balser

John “Mike” Michael Balser, age 72 of Eden, NC passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Ancora Compassionate Care, also known as Hospice of Rockingham County. There are no formal services scheduled at this time, and will be announced at a later date.

“Mike” was born December 21, 1951 to the late John Frank Balser, Jr. and Violet Downey Balser in Clifton Forge, VA. He served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Vietnam. He worked at the local hospital formally known as Morehead Memorial Hospital in Respiratory Therapy and also worked at Bayada Nursing as a CNA. “Mike” also worked for Osborne Construction as well. He had a special pet named Suzie whom he loved very much.

Surviving “Mike” is his wife Denise Rhodes Balser, sons Brandon Michael Balser, Matthew Lawrence Balser, sister Christy Balser Coffman and husband Keith, niece Johnell Cantrell and husband Derek, great niece and nephew Laken and Jace Cantrell as well as his mother-in-law Carol Rhodes. He is preceded in death by his parents.
