John David Lester

John David Lester, 42, of 9018-E  Otter Creek Road in Charlotte, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016. 

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, October 6, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Ridgeway, VA.

John was born December 25, 1973 in Rockingham County, NC.  He was a graduate of McMichael High School, Class of 1992 and Appalachian State University, Class of 1997.  He was a computer consultant and, in his spare time, loved to travel.  

He is survived by his parents, Billy and Janet Pulliam Lester of Stoneville; brother, Bill Lester (Michelle) of Carthage, NC;  nephew, Matthew Lester (Michele) of Pinehurst, NC;  niece, Rachel Lester of Carthage, NC;  aunts, Emily Brooks and Sylvia Pulliam of Ridgeway, VA;  Uncle, Bobby Lester (Lois) of Stoneville, NC;  numerous cousins;  and his beloved cat, Tinkerbell.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 7 - 9 PM, at Fair Funeral
Home and other times at the home of his parents, 6775 US Hwy 220 Business in Stoneville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ridgeway United Methodist Church, 160 Church Street, PO Box 78 Ridgeway, VA   24148.
