Jody Dean Dalton

Jody Dean Dalton, 66 of Eden, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at UNC Rockingham Healthcare.

There will be no formal service at this time.

Jody was born February 8, 1960, in Rockingham County, North Carolina, to the late Bernice Dalton and Bobine McCollough Dalton. He worked as a handyman for most of his career. Jody enjoyed fishing at the Dan River and hanging out with his friends, Tom, Steve, Gary, Dan and Bobby. Jody enjoyed a cold one on a hot day. Mostly, he loved his family, especially his grandkids.

Surviving are his daughters, Julie Bailey, Jodi “Junior” Dalton, Jessica Dalton; sisters, Ellen Marlow, Tonya Dalton; wife, Bonnie Dalton; grandkids, Aubree Harrison, Abby Harrison, Avery Harrison, James Dalton; and nephew, Joshua Dalton.

In addition to his parents, Jody is preceded in death by his brother, Keith Dalton, and niece, Renee Marlow Richards.

His daughters hope that he is now sitting on a riverbank with a cold Busch Light in his hand.
