Joanne Chavis Wray

Joanne Chavis Wray, 74 of 4780 Cascade Mill Road, Cascade, VA was called home on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Reedy Branch Baptist Church in Fairmont , NC.

Mrs. Wray was born in Robeson County on February 19, 1943 to the late Fred D. Chavis and Macy Brooks Chavis.  She was an Officer and retired with the N.C. Dept of Corrections.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Mrs. Wray is survived by; her three sons, Fredrick J. Kuhn of WV, Jerry D. Kuhn and wife, Linda of Willow Springs, NC and Joey R. Kuhn of TX; her daughter, Jacqueline “Jackie” Kuhn of Rowland, NC; two grandchildren, Mary Kuhn and Jeremy Kuhn; and four great-grandchildren, Shawn Kuhn, Lily Kuhn, Junie Jones and Sullivan Jones..

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Bobby Ray Chavis and James B. Chavis.
