Joann Fuqua Overby

Joann Fuqua Overby, 75, of Eden, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 8, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. A native of Rockingham County, Mrs. Overby was born November 23, 1934, daughter of the late Willie Edward and Nonnie Matherly Fuqua. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Draper and was a hairdresser for many years. She is survived by her son, Ray Overby and wife, Kim of Winston-Salem; sisters, Thelma Barker of Eden and Margaret Fuqua of Reidsville; brother, Paul Fuqua of Florida; niece, Carmen Adams of Greensboro; and nephew, Buddy Barker of Virginia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Dillard Overby, Sr. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service on Saturday (10:30 - 11 AM) at Fair Funeral Home.
