Joan Wren Meeks

Joan Wren Meeks, 68, of 389 Meeks Road in Ridgeway, VA passed away early Wednesday morning, January 4, 2012, at her home. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Overlook Cemetery. Mrs. Meeks was born November 1, 1943 in Leaksville, NC to the late Sherman and Myrtle Meeks. She worked for W.M. Bassett Furniture Company.- She was preceded in death along with parents, her husband Nathan A. Meeks, sisters Mildred Edwards, Sandra Patterson, Portia Dalton and Rhonda Tucker, brothers Floyd and Curtis Meeks Surviving are daughter; Lori Scholfield of the home, son; Terry A. Meeks of Ridgeway, brothers; Tim Meeks of Ridgeway and Alfred "Buzz" Meeks of Stoneville, sisters Carolyn Corum, Colleen Baker ,Deborah Gammon all of Eden and Donna Harmon of Maryland, grandchildren; Jacob, Cody and Kaylee.
