Jimmy Wilson Moorefield, 70, of
Eden, passed on February 3, 2022, at
Novant Forsyth Medical Center in
Winston-Salem.
A funeral service will be held 2pm, Monday, February 7, 2022, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden with burial to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden. A visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the service. For those who are unable to attend the service, Jimmy will lie-in-repose from 1-5pm, Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Fair Funeral Home in
Eden.
Jimmy was born July 7, 1951, to the late Wylie Wilson Moorefield and Ocie Wagoner Moorefield. He was a graduate of
Morehead High School, class of 1969. Jimmy was a member of
Mercy Crossing Pentecostal Holiness Church in
Martinsville, Va. He was the owner of J. Moorefield Office Supply in
Eden, operating for more than 40 years. He enjoyed working outdoors.
Left to cherish his memory are sisters, Frances Lorene Amburn of Eden, Cornelia Lois Pike (Bruce) of Eden, Janie M Davis of Ruffin, Barbara Jean Hill of Stoneville, and Kay M Hicks (Phillip) of
Eden. He is also survived by special friend, Myra Pulliam.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda Handy Moorefield; brothers, Samuel Moorefield, Ellis Moorefield, Leroy Moorfield; sisters, Sue M. Roberts, Mary Rachel Pulliam, Ann Matherly and Eva Stanley.
