Jimmy Belton, 84, of 1444 Virginia Street in Eden, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, July 29, at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Belton was born July 24, 1934 in Rockingham County. He was a US Army veteran and a 1997 retiree of Karastan Rug Mill.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Gusler Belton, of the home; son, Jimmy Darryl Belton and wife, Paula; daughter, Jenny Gibson and husband, Ronnie, of Eden; seven grandchildren, Jessica Mitchell, Brandon Williams, Casey Belton, Ashley Gibson, Shannon Thacker, Kippy Linville, and Ronnie Lee Gibson; great-granddaughter, Katie Nipper and 15 other great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruth Willard of Charlotte.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Belton Holland; two brothers, Johnny and Zeck Belton; and sister, Florence Garrett.
