Jessica Brooks Hatcher

Jessica Brooks Hatcher, 58, of Annapolis, MD passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Danville, VA, September 21,1966, she grew up in Eden, NC. Having graduated from Morehead High School in 1984, she went on to attend Guildford College in Greensboro, NC, graduating in 1989 with a degree in Art and working for several years in the field of interior design. On November 30,1991 she married her husband Dr. Charles Page Hatcher.

The couple moved to Annapolis, MD in May of 1992, where newly acquired friends soon recognized her extraordinary artistic ability. When asked, she was always willing to share her design ideas and artistic flair.

On March 23,1994 her life took on new meaning with the birth of her precious Charlie. On August 15th of the following year, she sadly lost her second son, Samuel, born prematurely at 21 weeks. Then on March 30, 2001, seven years and seven days after the birth of Charlie, her mini me, sweet Claire was born.

Jessica, a wonderful mother and wife, fiercely concerned for her family's wellbeing and happiness. She absolutely adored her granddaughter Audrey and grandson Sam, and thought the world of her step-daughters Courtney Smith (Brian), and Jeanne Hatcher, MD, and step-grandchildren Connor and Aubrey Smith.

She is survived by her husband Dr. Charles Page Hatcher; son Charles Page Hatcher, II; daughter Katherine Claire Hatcher (Henry);step-daughters Courtney Smith (Brian) and Dr. Jeanne Hatcher; granddaughter Audrey Katherine Hatcher; grandson Samuel Isaac Hatcher; step-grandchildren, Connor Smith and Aubrey Smith; mother Cindy Gail Joyce; stepfather of 47 years, James Worley Joyce; father David Morton Brooks ;brother, David (Janet) Brooks,   sister Allison Younts (Gene); step-brother Chris Hutcherson (Bill); sister-in-law Elizabeth Wagner ((Larry); nephews Jamie Brooks (Alexandra), Hunter Brooks (Holly), Evan Ussery; niece Regan Ussery and grandnieces Grace Ussery, Ella Kate Brooks and Hollyn Brooks.

A Memorial Service will be held for Jessica on Saturday, April 26th at 1:00pm in the Immanuel Friends Church, 502 S Fieldcrest Road, Eden, NC.
