Jesse Herbert Roberts

Jesse Herbert Roberts, our loving father, 76, of Eden, went home to be with our Lord Jesus, after a battle with carcinoid cancer on Monday morning, May 8, 2017, at Wesley Long Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, May 14 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Stoneville City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home. 

Mr. Roberts was born July 18, 1940 in Leaksville, NC to the late Herbert Rosen Roberts and Grace Price Roberts.  He was a graduate of Tri-City High School, Class of 1958 and a member of Stoneville Baptist Church. He retired from Anhauser-Busch in Cartersville, GA.  In his earlier years, he was a member of the NC Grange Association and the Ruritan Club for which he served as Treasurer.  Jesse was currently an active member of the Board of Directors for the Rockingham County Farm Bureau.

He is survived by his three daughters, Shelby Roberts Sari (Robert, Sr.) of High Point, Donna Roberts Mabe (Martin) of Eden, and Sheila Roberts Spence of Stoneville;  and five grandchildren, Robert Sari, Jr., Jennifer Sari, Jacob Harris, Dakota Mabe, and Jonathan Chatman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Leake Roberts.
