Jerry Mayes

Jerry Mayes, 76, of Eden, passed Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at his home.

The family will be holding a private memorial at home to celebrate Jerry’s life.

Jerry was born March 16, 1946, in Leaksville, NC. He graduated from Morehead High School, class of ‘65. Jerry worked for Kroger as grocery manager for 41 years, until his retirement. He was always about family. Jerry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Laura Kallam Mayes of the home; daughter, Libby Mayes (Tony Evans) of Eden; son, Jason Mayes (Penny) of Eden; grandchildren, Tanner Mayes, Taylor Gammons (Scott), Kelsey Henning (Tristan).
