Jerry Wayne Martin

Jerry Wayne Martin, 74, of Eden passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Beacon Place in Greensboro.

A memorial gathering, date and time to be announced, will be held at the Morehead-Fair House.

Jerry was born October 11, 1949 in Price, NC, to the late James Curtis Martin and Ruby Oakley Nelson. Jerry graduated from Stoneville High School, class of 1967. He was drafted into the Marine Corp in 1969 and served his country until 1971. He graduated with a bachelor of psychology from UNC-Greensboro, having also studied at Rockingham Community College. Jerry was a member of the Rockingham County Marine Corps League and a former member of the Moose Lodge. He owned and operated his own business, mini storage and Mega Suds car wash, until his retirement in 2014.

Surviving Jerry are his friend and significant other, Judy Martin of Eden; sister, Sarah Shelton (Fred) of Mayodan; brother, Jimmy Martin (Pat) of Eden.
