Jerry Lee Moore, Jr.

Jerry Lee Moore, Jr., 76, passed away on Friday, January 27th at his home in Eden.  He was surrounded by family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Monday, January 30th at 2:00pm in the Overlook Cemetery. Mr. Moore will lie in repose at Fair Funeral Home, Monday from 9:00am-1:00pm.

Jerry was born March 4, 1946 to the late Jerry Moore and Betty Tucker Fry in Franklin County, VA.  Mr. Moore attended First Wesleyan Church.  He was a maintenance man, employed at a Construction Co.  He loved being outdoors and especially riding his lawnmower.  He was an excellent repairman and if he couldn’t repair something he would beat it with a hammer.

He is survived by his by family; Ed Frith (Donnita) of Bristol, VA., Dave Frith, Dovie Dixon, Shirley Banks (Leroy), Mary Joyce (Jerry) all of Eden; sister, Bonnie Bennett of Charleston, West VA; daughter-in-law, Angela Vann (Owen) of Snow Camp; step grand-children, Eleana, Dylan and Wesley; special friends, Mike Quinton, Tyler Dunn, Robin Barber, Peanut and Dale Branch; Caregivers, Shirley Banks and Gail Smith.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Bailey Moore and son Kevin Moore; grandmother Effie Moore Frith, whom he called mom.
