Jerry Wayne Dickerson

Jerry Wayne Dickerson, 77, of Eden passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Ancora Compassionate Care’s Gibson House.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Overlook Cemetery in Eden.

Jerry was born April 12, 1947 in Danville, VA, to the late Delma Randall Dickerson and Elnora Cobbler Dickerson. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Jerry worked in the sanitation department for the City of Eden until his retirement. He was a workaholic. Jerry loved old westerns and Andy Griffith. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving are his sons, David Dickerson and Bruce Dickerson, both of Eden; two granddaughters, Melia and Abigail; brother, Donnie Dickerson; niece, Donna Davis (Jeff); great-nephew, Cody Davis.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his wife, Molly Gravely Dickerson; son, Herman Dickerson; brother, Phillip Dickerson; and sister, Martha Slaughter.
