Jennifer Ashley Smith, 44, passed away at Moses Cone Hospital, Thursday, September 30, 2021.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, October 3rd at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church of Mayodan at 2:00pm. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 2nd in the Family Life Center from 5-7pm. Burial will follow the service on Sunday at Stoneville Municipal Cemetery. At the family’s request, a facial covering is suggested for visitation and funeral service.
Jennifer was born in Guilford Co. August 22, 1977 to Everett “Mope” Smith and Cynthia Fulcher Smith. She was a graduate of Greensboro College with an Bachelor’s Degree in Education and later graduated from A&T University with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. Jennifer was a teacher at Huntsville Elementary. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. One of her most favorite things to do was “spoil” her niece and nephews.
Ms. Smith is survived by her parents, Everett “Mope” and Cynthia Smith of Mayodan; brother, Patrick Smith (Jessica) of Stoneville; uncles, Doug Fulcher (Barbara) of Murrells Inlet, Glenn Smith of Thomasville and Phillip Smith (Bonnie) of Mayodan; an aunt, Vanessa Phillips of Trinity; three nephews, Triton, Claxton and Sladen; one niece Moxlon Smith.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Claby and Bernice Fulcher; paternal grandparents, Elvis and Marie Smith; aunt, Janet Bullins.
The pallbearers for her service will be the McMichael Soccer players.
