Jenelle Hamons, 56, of 130 Vintage Road in Eden passed away early Tuesday morning, February 13, 2018, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, February 16th at Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial to follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at the church and other times at the residence.
Jenelle was born March 10, 1961 in Leaksville, NC, to the late Tuttle Brown and Opal Williams Brown. She was a member of Stoneville Pentecostal Holiness Church where she sang in the choir. Jenelle was a volunteer counselor for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and coloring with her grandchildren. She was a former Customer Service Representative for Carter Bank and Trust in Eden.
She is survived by her husband, Guy "Mickey" Hamons of the home; two sons, Joshua Hamons and wife, Jennifer of Eden and Guy Hamons, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren, Guy Jacob, Jordan Brian and Jaden Lee Hamons, Abram Tuttle and Titus Paul Hamons; and two brothers, Jimmy Brown and wife, Shelby and Mike Brown of Eden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Shan Hamons
