Jean Thompson Still

April 8, 1934 — September 14, 2025

Eden

Jean Thompson Still, 91 of Eden, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” (II Corinthians 9:15).

I can now see face to face my Savior Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father, who made heaven and earth! This Father also sent Jesus to earth to show us who God is and what He is like.

“Thank you, Father, for this gracious, amazing gift!

“Be close to my children, Deborah and her family, Paul; Caleb and Anna, Eli, Effie, Letty, and baby; Anastasiya; Micah and Hannah, Ava and Monica; Isaac and Isabelle, and Evelyn Jean; and Anna; Rona and her family, Amber and Kyle, Harper and Everett; Michael and Camille, and Norah; Michelle and Garrett, and Mabel; and Mike; and Coye, III and his family, Sherra; Coye, IV and Emily, Natalie and Katherine Jean; Seth and Christine, and Stella; Anna and Joe, Ruth, Elias, and Solomon; Eden and Reagan, Neal, Beatrix, and baby; Hope and James Max, and Nora. These children were gifts from You to Coye, Jr. and me. Continue to keep your hand upon them through all their days, so their steps will be firmly planted in Your love, Your Word, and Your work, whatever You have chosen for them to do and wherever they may be in Your world.

“Thank you for the godly parents, Coye and Goldie Still, Sr. you gave Coye, Jr., and for his sisters, Helen, and Merolyn. And for my parents, John and Rheta Thompson, Sr., and my siblings, Allen, “Boo”, Bob, Pat, and Sally.

“You have been gracious to me in inviting me to be in Your family, and I will be with You through all eternity. You have been generous in giving me a godly, spiritually strong, loving husband who served you obediently and sought Your guidance in teaching our children. We always knew his love for You, and he taught us—one and all—in the things of Your word and love. You assured me of your constant presence and watch care after Coye’s homegoing with You. Thank You for Your faithfulness in all things.

“You have kept your promise: ‘Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. I will not fail you or forsake you’ (Joshua 1:7 and 1:5c).

“Now, You have chosen to bring me to live with You eternally. Thank You, Father. Amen!”

There will be a time of visiting at Spray Baptist Church on Friday, September 19, 2025, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., and a private family service at the burial site.
