Jarrel Walton Barnes

Jarrel Walton Barnes, 63, of 136 W. Lake Road, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 25, 2011 at Hospice Home of High Point. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 29, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Barnes was born August 25, 1947 in Hampton, VA. He was a retiree of Miller Brewing Company after 30 years of service and was a Mason. Surviving is his son, Steven Barnes of High Point; fiancee, Abby Bowman of High Point; step-children, Brian Bowman and wife, Debbie, and Michael Bowman and wife, Ginger; four grandchildren, Griffin, Leah, Kayla, and Sabrina; two sisters-in-law, Donna Monroe and husband, Michael of Newport News, VA and Deborah Corriher of Hampton, VA; special friend, Maye Reinert; and his two beloved Labrador Retrievers, Harley and Mousse and Jack Russell Terrier, Peanut. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Brenda C. Barnes. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday (1 - 2 PM) at Fair Funeral Home.
