James “Donnie” Scott, 63, of Ridgeway VA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Mountain Valley Hospice Center in Yadkinville NC.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday, February 24, 2025 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Fair Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at his home in Ridgeway on Saturday and Sunday from 12-6pm, 3164 Kings Mill Rd.
Donnie was born on December 2, 1961 in Rockingham County, North Carolina, to Sarah Harvey Sutton and the late Henry Clayborn Scott. He was a Graduate of Rockingham County High School and went on to obtain an associate's degree in Automotive Technologies. He was the owner/operator of Scott Automotive in Eden, North Carolina for 40 years. He loved spending time boating and water skiing at Philpott Lake. Donnie loved racing, going fast and making people laugh.
Left to cherish his memory are his Mother: Sarah (David) Sutton, Daughter: Evie Scott (Ryan Johnson). Grandchildren Ansley Johnson, Rylen Johnson, and Branson Johnson. Mother of his daughter: Sherry Scott. His beloved pet: Daisy. Special Caregivers: Angie Creath, Mitsie Kirkman and Larry Kirkman. Special Friends: Mike Dillery, Randy Fuqua, Tony Smith, David Price, Trevor Kain and many others.
Donnie is preceded in death by his father, Clayborn Scott, and his brother, Everett Scott.
