James Michael "Mike" Bragdon, 70, of 921 Aquaview Drive in Kernersville, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, June 22, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Centenary United Methodist Church Cemetery with military rites provided by Rockingham County Veteran's Honor Guard and the NC National Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (2 - 3 PM) at Fair Funeral Home.
Mike was born September 22, 1946 in the Leaksville section of Eden, NC, to the late Lonnie W. Bragdon and Orene Strong Bragdon. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a veteran of the US Air Force. Mike was a former warehouse manager for Fieldcrest Mills. Mike loved to watch his grandchildren play sports, travel, play golf and enjoyed cooking barbecue.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cherry Bragdon of the home; daughters, April Bragdon Benfield (Jason) of High Point and Amber D. Bragdon of Kernersville; grandchildren, Taylor Lawrence, Carson and Sydney Benfield and Braden and Evan Faw; brother Steve Bragdon (Judy) of Stoneville; and several nieces and nephews.
