James Marshall Corum Jr.

James Marshall “Coach” Corum Jr., age 62 of Eden passed away on Monday February 1, 2021 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm Saturday February 6, 2021 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  The Service will be Live Streamed on Facebook for those who cannot attend the funeral.

Mr. Corum was born October 21, 1958 in Martinsville, Va. to the late James and Dorothy Minter Corum.  He was a retiree of the Rockingham County School System where he taught at Morehead High School, Reidsville, and most recently Holmes Middle School. James was very passionate about his students and most importantly coaching football and wrestling.  

Surviving is his sister, Gayle Harrison of Eden, NC; and Three Nephews, Mark Butler, Petie Butler, and Steve Harrison Jr. all of Eden.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Marshall Corum Sr. and Dorothy Minter Corum; and siblings Barbara Butler and Joseph Daniel Corum.
