James Leslie Reeves

James Leslie Reeves, 84, of 903 Lincoln Street, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, February 6, at Overlook Cemetery. Mr. Reeves was born August 21, 1926 in Spray, NC, son of the late James Henry and Katherine Land Reeves. He was a US Marine veteran of World War II and was a retired letter carrier for the US Postal Service. Surviving is his wife, Polly Mae Reeves of Eden; and step-son Mike Burroughs of Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Tomkins; and brother, Harry Desmond Reeves. There will be no formal visitation however, friends and family are welcomed to pay their respects at Fair Funeral Home prior to the service.
