James “Jim” Leroy Smith, 75, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 6, 2020, at his home.
A family gathering will be held from 1 – 2 PM on Saturday, August 8, at Fair Funeral Home.
Jim was born in Lamar, Colorado, on September 10, 1944 to the late Harold W. and Olive Kirby Smith. He was a US Army veteran and was the owner and operator of The Exhaust Center.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carolyn Lee Smith of the home; daughter, Tammy Buckland (Steve) of High Point; step-sons, Kevin Aliff (Rhia) of High Point and Paul Aliff (Jennifer) of Alpharetta, GA; five grandchildren; and sisters, Shirley Simonelli, Arlene Kemp, and Marilyn Randazzo, all of Largo, FL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Harold Wayne Smith and Edward Lee Smith.
