James Harold Fisher

James Harold Fisher, 82, of 1156 Friendly Road, passed away Thursday morning, November 3, 2011 at Morehead Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, November 5, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. James was born September 3, 1929 in Friendship, TN. He was a US Navy veteran and retired from Auto Supply in Eden, NC. He was well-known for his love of horses, horse shows, and his Massey-Ferguson tractor. James was attending Osborne Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, George Fisher and wife, Sandra of Eden, Charlie Fisher and wife, Cathy of Eden; daughter, Louann Fisher and fiance' Kym Griffin of Eden; brothers, Charles Fisher, Larry Fisher, Bobby Fisher, Jerry Fisher and Billy Fisher; sisters, Marjorie Scallons, Mattie Thompson and Peggy Sloan; grandchildren, Christie Dalton of Summerfield, Chris Fisher of Eden, Stephanie Chism of Wentworth, Brandon Fisher of Eden, Brad Fisher of Eden and Welsey Reynolds of Eden; numerous great- grandchildren; and special friend, Mrs. Barbara Black of Eden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Katherine Bateman Fisher.
