James "Cooker" Timothy Carter

James “Cooker” Timothy Carter, 74, of Eden, NC passed away Tuesday January 16, 2024 at his home. A Funeral Service will be held Friday January 19, 1:00 PM at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Eden.

“Cooker” was born December 19, 1949 to the late Capp Carter and Lois Duggins Carter in Rockingham County, NC. He worked last for McMichael Mills as a Supervisor.
Surviving are his daughter Ann Martin and husband Tommy of the home, son-in-law David Watkins, brother Spooley Carter, grandchildren Pandy Thacker, Chelsey Rodgers, Ashley Watkins, Katie Watkins, Coley Watkins, great grandchildren Tanner Atkins, Kayden Atkins, Levi Watkins, Aubrey Key, Acea Claybrook, Kendall Watkins, Graison Watkins, Zoey Watkins, and Noah Tart. Preceding him in death along with his parents are his wife, Mickey Eastridge Carter, daughter Karen Watkins, grandson Jimmy Watkins and sister Mary Lou Carter.

The Visitation will be held Friday 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM one hour prior to the service at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.
