James Lee Collins

James Lee Collins, 79 of Eden, passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4-6pm Monday, February 16, 2026, at Fair Funeral Home.

James was born July 1, 1946, in Rockingham County, North Carolina, to the late James Edward Collins and Mildred Sadie Talbert Collins. He worked as a superintendent at Adam’s Electric until his retirement. He loved working and loved his job. James enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with is family.

Surviving are his wife, Gilda Sadon Collins; sons, Joe Collins and Bubba Collins; daughters, Teresa Collins, Missy Collins, Angie Collins (Joe Bartlett); grandchildren, Isabella Bartlett, Irina Bartlett, Cody Collins, Jeramiah Collins, Sam Collins Kinsley Collins; nephew, Shawn Collins; niece, Shannon Collins; half-sister, Kathleen Vernon; uncles, Roy Talbert, Richard Talbert, and Robert Talbert.

In addition to his parents James is preceded in death by his grandchildren, Christopher Collins and Will Collins; brother, Thomas Collins.
