James "Jimmy" Donald Alcorn

James “Jimmy” Donald Alcorn, 91, of Eden, passed away Monday, September 15th, at UNC Blue Ridge Hospital in Morganton, after relocating, together with his wife and daughter, to Western NC to spend his last months with his granddaughter and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Billy, and sister-in-law, Frances. His legacy will be remembered by his wife, Ruby, daughter, Rinda, granddaughter Emily, great-grandchildren, Lily, Ava, and Tennent, brother Wayne (Debra), niece, Deborah (Dan), nephew, Jason, sister-in-law, Penny, other nieces and nephews, and best friends Winford and Miriam.

The funeral will be held at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden at 3pm on Saturday, September 20, 2025, with visitation an hour prior from 2-3pm and other times at his daughter’s home at 285 Tanglebrook Tr. Eden, NC. Burial will follow the service at Overlook Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Spray Baptist Church or Meals on Wheels of Rockingham County are appreciated.
