Jake Vann Ziglar, 90, of 230 E. Harris Place, passed away Thursday afternoon, February 5, 2015, at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, February 8, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Danview Cemetery.
Mr. Ziglar was born July 6, 1924 in Stokes County, NC. He attended Osborne Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his son, Vann Ziglar and wife, Genny, of Eden; daughter, Lou Z. Berrier and husband, Alan, of Eden; four grandchildren, Holly Berrier, Heather Berrier, Nathan Ziglar and Stephen Ziglar; one great-grandchild, Alyssa Berrier; and sister-in-law, June Harris of Eden.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Goldie Harris Ziglar and his mother, Carrie Ziglar.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff of Morehead Nursing Center, South Hall and to the ICCU staff at Morehead Hospital for all their care and support.
Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home of son, Vann Ziglar, 135 Malibu Street, in Eden.
