Jacqulene "Jackie" Odell Pope

Jacqulene "Jackie" Odell Pope, 76, of 313 Von Ruck Street, passed away suddenly Monday evening, May 17, 2010. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, May 20, at First Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow in Overlook Cemetery. A native of Rockingham County, Mrs. Pope was born October 10, 1933, daughter of the late George Elroy and Bessie Keaton Odell. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church and was a retired accounting clerk for Ocean Lakes Campground in Myrtle Beach, SC. Surviving is her daughter, Glenda Nance Fowler and husband, Ronald of Raleigh; one granddaughter, Adrienne Chumley Branch and husband, Herby of Eden ; step-daughters, Gloria Pope of Clinton, Joann Owens of Turkey, NC, Connie Case, and Terrie Anders, both of Clinton; five step-grandchildren; and brother, James E. Odell of Eden. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry G. Pope; and sisters, Margaret Shockley, Elma London, and Nancy Travis. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 7 - 9 pm at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home on Von Ruck Street.
