Inez Ratliff Cassell

Inez Ratliff Cassell, 88, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 29, 2013, at Morehead Nursing Center in Eden.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 2, at Overlook Mausoleum.

Mrs. Cassell was born February 5, 1925 in Rockingham County, NC. She was the daughter of the late John and Ida Bryant Ratliff. Mrs. Cassell was a member of Old Time Baptist Church in Draper and a retiree of Fieldcrest Mills.

She is survived by her three daughters, Marie Clifton of Eden, Carolyn Freeman and husband, John, of Eden, and Rhonda Horton and husband, Roy of Ringgold, VA; two sons, Mike Cassell and wife, Marie, and Paul Cassell, of Eden; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Hladik of Garfield, OH; and brother, Robert Ratliff of Martinsville, VA.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 noon to 1:45 pm, at Fair Funeral Home, before traveling to Overlook Mausoleum for the crpytside service.
