Mrs. Ida Mae Lawson Stowe, 90,  of Eden, surrounded by loving family and friends, left this Earth Saturday, October 8, 2016 to receive the ultimate healing promised to us by God.  A loving, kind Christian mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to so many, Miss Ida leaves a legacy of devotion and love to be remembered always.  She joins her husband of 63 years, Leonard D. Stowe, two daughters as well as her mother, five brothers and five sisters in Heaven.

A funeral service will be held  2 p.m. Tuesday October 11, 2016 at First Wesleyan Church, 607 Church Street, Eden with burial to follow at Overlook Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 12:30 till 1:45 P.M. prior to the service.

Miss Ida was one of twelve children, born to the late Gabe and Lelia Hall Lawson in Stokes County, NC.

Ida was a faithful member of First Wesleyan Church of Eden where she served in many capacities over the years.  She was a devoted music lover and traveled with Leonard and Debra as they sang for many different events.  She was a fan of bluegrass, beach music, butterflies, hummingbirds and cardinals and enjoyed the mountain and beach trips with her daughters Debra and Lisa.

Smith of Eden, Debra Stowe of Eden, Lisa Stowe of Winston Salem, brother Paul Lawson of Eden, granddaughter Stacey S. Martin and husband Todd of Burlington, grandson Corey S. Smith of Mooresville and great grandson Will Martin of Burlington.
