Ida Kay Wilson, 72, of 1350 Virginia Street in Eden, passed away Monday morning, September 8, 2014, at her home.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, September 11, at Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery on Ashley Loop Road in Reidsville, conducted by Pastor Don Cox.
Ms. Wilson was born August 21, 1942 in Reidsville, NC, to the late Robert and Lizzie Earles Pulliam. She was a member of Joyful Baptist Church and a retiree of Spray Cotton Mills after 34 years of service, where she was a supervisor.
She is survived by her four sons, Michael Wilson, Daryl Wilson, Robert Wilson and wife, Angie, and Linwood Wilson and wife, Pam; daughter, Judy Thornton; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Pulliam; five sisters, Clarice Moore, Mona Ferguson, Hilda Gauldin, Shirley Cox and Betty Carter; goddaughter, Connie Sams; and her best friend, Lula Mae Hamlett, all of Eden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Pruitt, her sister, Peggy Sharpe and brother, Harold Wayne "Mooka" Pulliam.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, 6 - 8 PM, at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
