Hilda Roberts Barker

Hilda Roberts Barker, 81, passed away Friday morning, April 29, 2011 at Morehead Nursing Center. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, May 1, at Deep Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Barker - Carter Family Cemetery in the Shiloh Community. A native of Rockingham County, Mrs. Barker was born April 10, 1930, daughter of the late Clyde and Nettie Alley Roberts. She was a member of Deep Springs Baptist Church and a retiree of E. I. Dupont. Surviving is her daughter, Toni Easter and husband, Dennis of Stoneville; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Lou Lowman of Stoneville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jefferson Barker. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home.
