Henry Clayton Hutcherson

Henry Clayton Hutcherson, age 100 of Eden, North Carolina, passed away on October 1st, 2023, at home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 5th at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden, NC.
Mr. Hutcherson was born September 30th, 1923, to the late George H. Hutcherson and Myrtle Shropshire Hutcherson. He was a member of King Memorial Baptist Church. He worked at Dupont of Martinsville, Va. for 38 years. Clayton “Nate” loved wood working and being in the garden. In his younger years, he enjoyed being outside on the river, fishing, trapping and hunting. More recently he enjoyed the companionship of his cat Buddy.
Preceding him in death along with his parents were his brother, Otis Hutcherson, and sisters, Pauline Crowder, Buena Martin, and Polly Setliff.
Surviving are Wife, Demetris Hutcherson, Brother Harold Hutcherson (Anita) of Eden, Daughter Toni Haynes (Marvin) of Eden, Son Larry Hutcherson (Loretta) of Middlesex, NC, Daughter Cheryl Ratliff (Marshall) of Reidsville. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
