Helen Louise Shropshire

Helen Louise Shropshire, 94, passed away Thursday morning, December 12, 2019, at UNC-Rockingham Rehab & Nursing Care Center in Eden.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, December 16, at Overlook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 1:45 pm,  prior to the service, at Fair Funeral Home before proceeding to the cemetery.

A native of Rockingham County, NC, Mrs. Shropshire was born August 16, 1925 to the late Serenas "Sub" and Crystal Haymore Chambers.  She was a graduate of Draper High School.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Adkins and husband, Bill, of Sugar Land, TX;  two grandchildren, Andrew Adkins and Rebecca Adkins of Denver, CO;  and three brothers, Gene Chambers and Babe Chamber, both of Axton, VA and Jim Chambers of Yanceyville, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbyrn Leonard Shropshire.
