Helen Gover Farmer

Helen Gover Farmer, 91, of 1241 Meadow Road in Eden, passed away Wednesday evening, June 22, 2016, at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, June 27, at Old Time Baptist Church officiated by her brother, Pastor Paul Gover.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Farmer was  born November 10, 1924 to the late Joe Gover and Bertie Helms Gover.  She was a retiree of Dan River Mills. Helen enjoyed traveling, geneology, and was a Draper historian.

She is survived by her son, Larry Farmer and wife, Tena of Eden;  two grandchildren, Larry Farmer, II of Florida and Tena Laree Farmer of Charlotte;  three great-grandchildren, Christian, Abby, and Kira Farmer, all of Florida;  sister, Sarah Mumford and husband, Tommy of Danville, VA;  and brother, Paul Gover and wife, Ann of Eden.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Lee Farmer.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 - 2 PM) at Old Time Baptist Church.
