Helen Barker Barnes

Helen Jane Barker Barnes, age 87 of 752 Garrett Road, Eden, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 3, 2019 at UNC Rockingham Health Care.

A graveside service will be held 12 noon Friday, December 6th at Barnes Family Cemetery on Rhodes Road.  The family will receive friends from 11am till 11:45 am at Fair Funeral Home before proceeding to the graveside.  Other times the family will meet at her son’s home Wayne, at 356 Denson Road. 

Mrs. Barnes was born May 18, 1932 in Yadkin County to the late Dewey and Lillie Wagoner Barker.  She loved to listen to Blue Grass music and watch her favorite TV shows, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

Surviving are sons, Wayne Barnes and Lynn Barnes; daughters, Marie Barnes Hopkins and Connie Barnes; 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
