Hazel Ann Jones Jarrell

November 9, 1930 — August 12, 2022

Hazel Ann Jones Jarrell, 91, of Eden passed Friday, August 12, 2022 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

A funeral service will be held 11am Monday, August 15, 2022 at New Heights Baptist Church, 2796 NC Hwy 14, Reidsville, NC 27320. Burial will follow the service at Danview Cemetery in Eden, NC. A visitation will be held 5-7pm Sunday, August 14, 2022 at New Heights Baptist Church.

Hazel was born November 9, 1930, in Pittsylvania County, VA, to the late Robert Wesley Jones and Frances Clark Jones. She was a graduate of Brosville High School, class of 1948. Hazel was a dedicated and faithful member of New Heights Baptist Church in Reidsville.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 72 years, Eugene Jarrell; grandchildren, Bridget Deal (Dennie) of Cascade, VA, Cory Jarrell of Cascade, VA, Crystal Lawton of Plymouth, NC; great-grandchildren, Maxsumus, Kaitlin, Kelsey, Kraig; great-great-grandchild, Aydrien; sister, Gayle Boothe of Eden, NC; brother, Dillard Jones of Danville, VA.

In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her sons, Danny Jarrell and Steve Jarrell; sister, Iris Denny; brother, Bobby Jones.
