Harriet Boswell Stack

November 24, 1943 — May 6, 2025

Yanceyville

Harriet Boswell Stack quietly shuffled off her mortal coil Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Yanceyville Rehabilitation and Healthcare.

Harriet was born in High Point, North Carolina on November 24, 1941 to Coy Lee and Ruby Frances Stack. The Stack family relocated to Eden when Harriet was a young child. She met her first husband, Allen Robertson, while they both worked at WLOE radio station. She spent most of her career, however, in accounts receivable at Fieldcrest Cannon Corporation. Harriet later cared for her parents, Coy and Frances, who both lived into their 90s.

A devoted charter member of First Presbyterian Church, Eden, Harriet worked and served in the church in various roles throughout her life including as a nursery director, as finance staff, as administrative staff, and as a member of the church's governing Session. Her devotion inspired the religious devotion of her only child, by whom she is survived, Allan B. Roberson, who spent two years as an ordained missionary before getting married and pursuing a study of and career in the law and civic leadership.

Harriet is survived by her aforementioned son Allan Boswell and daughter-in-law Michelle Greer Robertson of Springfield, Virginia and grandchildren Hiram Levi, Abby Grace, and Sky Caeli. She is also survived by her sister, Alma Evett; niece, Dana Luciani; nephews, Jim House and Stephen Goadhouse; and other extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Alamance Presbyterian Church, 4000 Presbyterian Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
