Harold Leslie "Les" Craig, Jr.

Harold Leslie "Les" Craig, Jr., 71, of 806 Elm Street, passed away Thursday morning, March 10, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, March 13, at Leaksville United Methodist Church. Les Craig was born September 19, 1939 in Washington County, PA, son of the late Harold and Eleanor Hazlett Craig. He was a member of Leaksville United Methodist Church for 44 years where he held many positions. He was also a member of Eden Day Lions Club. Les retired from IBM, Inc. in 1999. After retirement Les earned an Associate in Applied Science in Fine and Creative Woodworking from Rockingham Community College. He received great pleasure from the crafting of fine furniture pieces and sharing the joy woodworking brought him. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Jan McCoy Craig of the home; daughters, Kim Ingram and husband, Andy of Greensboro, and Kathy Mowery and husband, Eric of Kernersville; son, Kenny Craig and wife, Missy of Reidsville; four granddaughters, Karmen, Anna, Eliya, and Karly Mowery; and sisters, Beth Lewis of Vernal, Utah and Ellen Jubeck of Verona, PA. Visitation will be held on Saturday evening, 6 - 8 PM at Fair Funeral Home. The famiy will receive friends at other times at the home. The family expresses their thanks for the loving care given to Les by Dr. Ennever and his staff at the Medical Center in High Point and to the Rockingham County Hospice staff.
