Harold Eugene Lemons

Mr. Harold Eugene Lemons, 57, Eden, NC went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at home with his loving family by his side.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Fair Funeral Home 432 Boone Road Eden, NC with Pastor Wayne Johnson officiating. Family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home. Harold was born in Stoneville on November 29, 1954 to the late Calvin and Hannah Lemons. He is retired from Old Dominion Freight Lines of Thomasville, NC where he was employed for 30 years. His career also included Burlington Industries of Stoneville, The Stoneville Drug Store and a Volunteer Firefighter and First Responder at the Stoneville Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Toni Dalton Lemons, Faithful and loving companion, Cassie, Children; Wendy Cassell Chambers and husband Mark of Eden, NC, and Butch Cassell and wife Chris of Long Beach, MS., Grandchildren; Summer Cassell, Meghan Chambers, Katie Chambers, Sydney Cassell, and Trevor Chambers. Step Grandchildren; Chad Rutherford and Britney Irwin. He is also survived by sisters, Joanne Vaden and Lisa Sexton of Stoneville and Diane Fulp of Jacksonville, Florida and one brother, Darryl Lemons of Stoneville, NC.

Harold enjoyed music, fishing, camping, and being with his family and his good and wonderful friend Lanney Gilley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281 Wentworth, NC or Rockingham County Humane Society of Eden, 205 Boone Rd. Eden, NC 27288.

We want to thank Hospice of Rockingham County for all the love and care they gave Harold during his illness, especially Misty Richardson. She is a God Send.
