Gradie "Shirley" Ann Russell

Gradie "Shirley" Ann Wiles Russell, age 73 of 433 Washburn Ave. Eden, passed away Monday December 31, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held 4 pm Thursday at Overlook Cemetery with visitation to be held one hour prior to the service from 3 -4 pm at Fair Funeral Home.

Shirley was born November 22, 1939 in the Spray section of Eden to the late Jim and Angieline Hodgson Wiles and later raised by her mom and stepfather, the late William Emory Apple. She worked at Fieldcrest Mills and Dan River Mills and attended of Trinity Wesleyan Church. Surviving are brother, James Wiles and wife Linda of Eden; cousins, Gene DeHart, Jerry DeHart, Ronnie Hodgson, Janie Harris, Daniel Hodgson and special cousin Adrian DeHart for her care, love and support during Shirley's illness. Also surviving are nephew, Steve Wiles and wife Dee and their children, Tyler and Sadie, neice, Alisa Harris and her husband Scott and their children, Brendon, Mason and Reagan. Shirley will miss her beloved pets, Alice and Mickey.

Family will meet at other times at the home of her brother, James Wiles, 433 Wedgewood Ct. Eden.
