Gracie Norris Lee

Gracie Norris Wingate Lee passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 5th, 2026 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

There will be no formal service at this time.

Gracie was born on September 19th, 1968 in Winston-Salem North Carolina to Dale Truman Wingate Sr. and Gracie Sigmon Wingate. She was a graduate of Rockingham County High School. She worked at Precision Fabrics Group in Greensboro for many years. Gracie enjoyed going to the beach, gardening, cooking, and reading. She also loved weekly dinners with her daughter, son in law, and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Gracie Wingate Perkins, her brother, William Earl Wingate, daughter Kalyn Boyd (Ryan Cobb), and her granddaughters Aubrey Sanchez, Alora Cobb, and Abbigail Cobb along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Wingate Sr., sister Loura Wingate, brother Charles Wingate, brother Dale Wingate and husband John Lee.

The family would like to say a special thank you to everyone at Ancora Compassionate Care for their support and guidance navigating her care at the end of her journey.
