Gloria Dalton Rhabe

Gloria Rhabe passed away December 28, 2025, at Ancora Compassionate Care.

She was born in Danville, VA, to the late Hosea and Larma Dalton. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Gloria was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Rhabe. Gloria was retired from the doctor’s office. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Gloria was a devoted mother who always made time to listen. She was an excellent cook. She loved and enjoyed gardening, plants, and flowers. She was an avid reader who loved learning. She liked nature and was fond of many animals throughout her life. She had a witty sense of humor.

We will treasure in this life that she was our mother whose unconditional love will forever be in our hearts.

Special thanks to Dr. Sandford and Dr. Parsons for the guidance and care she received. Also, thanks to the staff at Ancora for the compassion they provided.

Surviving are her three children, Gina Closson (Monty), John Rhabe, and Mitchell Rhabe.

There will be a private service.
