Glenn Edgar Nittler, 83 of Eden, passed away Monday, July 7, 2025 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.
A funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Fair Funeral Home Chapel with Military Honors being given on the front lawn by the Rockingham County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10-11am, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive family and friends at the home of Carolyn Nittler, 1142 Harris St, Eden.
Glenn was born March 22, 1942 in Yates Center, KS, to the late Paul Raymond Nittler and Edith Gusten Nittler. He was a member of Lowes United Methodist Church in Reidsville. Glenn served his country in the US NAVY. Glenn worked with Centel Telephone Company for 25 years. He then worked at Marsh Kitchen and Cabinets in Greensboro as a cabinet and counter installer until his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking and camping. Glenn also volunteered in State Parks in Florida, Kansas, and Minnesota. Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and being with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Ann Trent Perdue Nittler of the home; daughter, Jackie Spencer (Leroy) of Patrick Springs, VA; stepsons, Jason Perdue (Mary Jane) of Eden, NC, Jeffrey Perdue (Gina) of Eden, NC, Rex Odell (Becky) of Stuart, VA, Ronnie Odell of Lancaster, PA; sisters, Cora Mae “Corky” Perry (Donnie) of Side Lake, MN, Sue Nittler of Bouse, AZ; grandchildren, Shane Spencer (Danny) of Stuart, VA, Chelsey Emershaw (Dalton) of Norton, VA, Ian Perdue of Havelock, NC, Brandon Perdue of Eden, NC, Lucas Perdue of Richmond, VA, Isabella Perdue of Eden, NC; great-grandchildren, Ollie Spencer, Rose Marie Spencer, Maverick Spencer.
In addition to his parents, Glenn is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Hook, and brothers, Bob Nittler and Fred Nittler; stepdaughter, Janice Lawson.
