Geraldine Emily Myers Scott

Geraldine Emily Myers Scott, age 89 of Sandy Ridge, passed away on Thursday August 7, 2026 at her residence. Geraldine loved Jesus and she loved her family.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday August 13th at 11 a.m. at Overlook Cemetery. Eden, NC.

Born August 6th 1937, Geraldine was the 16th Child out of 17 born to the late Thomas Everett Myers and Elizabeth Joyce Myers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Wayne Scott, her brothers, Gene, James, Paul, William, Scott, Clifton, Charles, John, Clinard, and Leroy and her sisters, Mary, Annie, Rachel, Micky and Peggy, her stepson, Donnie Scott and grandson, Cody Scott.

She was a member of The United Methodist Church of Sandy Ridge where she was the pianist and worked with the youth group. Geraldine grew up at the Mayodan Pentecostal Holiness Church. She retired as a daycare worker more than 24 years ago.

Surviving are her sons, William Ziglar, Tommy Ziglar (Cindy), and Ernie Ziglar: her step-children, Steve Scott, Mike Scott (Patty), Phyllis Scott Williams, Tootie Scott, and Renee Scott; her brother, Buddy Joe Myers (Pat); five grandchildren, Ryan Ziglar (Ashley), Matthew Ziglar (Shara), Mallie Ziglar Oakes (Caleb), Davy Patterson, Chad Scott; six great-grandchildren, Jakeb and Abigail Ziglar, John Oakes, Myka, Bryson, and Cyera Patterson. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
